Originally from Iowa, Carissa has transitioned into the world of residential real estate after a decade as a Marketing Assistant for Commercial Real Estate Brokers. Licensed since 2010, her past experience has prepared her for this exciting new venture.

In her free time, Carissa enjoys traveling, attending concerts, visiting her lake house, trying new restaurants, and staying active. She loves spending time with her family and friends. Those who know her have described her as a good listener, empathetic, trustworthy, and fun-loving.

Having moved to Minnesota for college, Carissa prefers the big city life but often returns to Iowa to visit her family and their lake house in Okoboji. She has embraced her new home while cherishing her roots.

Carissa enjoys happy hours and nights out. Known for her baking skills and good sense of humor, she’s always up for a good laugh and rarely gets offended.

Volunteering is another passion for Carissa, as she enjoys helping out at her daughter’s school on occasion. Her family is important to her. She lost her husband to cancer in 2016 when her daughter was 4 ½ and she is now 12. Carissa met her current husband Bryan in 2022. They got married in October of 2024. Bryan has two college-aged children and together they have three dogs—a shorkie and two labs.
